Khatta Meetha: Akshay Kumar has once again is ready with his comic acts to please his fans. This time he’s playing a simple Marathi manoos. A road contractor of a small town in Maharashtra, Sachin Tichkule is very simple and naïve man who wears vision glasses, shirt-pant and chappals, always carries a handbag and an umbrella and travels in auto rickshaw. Trisha Krishnan as Gehna Ganpule is a stern Municipal Commissioner of Phaltan and hates corruption and Sachin. Markand Deshpande as Azad Bhagat is an honest man, fighting against corruption as he lost his son due badly constructed bridge.

Rajpal Yadav a road worker who works for Sachin Tichkule. He is spoilt by nature and understands the fact that Sachin’s bills demands bribe to get clearance. Manoj Joshi, a chief engineer and Sachin’s brother in law.

Milind Gunaji, a road contractor and husband of Sachin’s second sister. Aruna Irani, Sachin Tichkule’s mother who wants to get her third daughter married and to see Sachin on the right track.

Kulbhushan Kharbanda, a retired judge and Sachin’s father.

Précis: With dreams of becoming big Sachin Tichkule is struggling as a contractor. He has no means to achieve his dreams as he has no money to bribe. Situations turned messier when he saw his ex-girl friend as a municipal commissioner who now hates him from the bottom of her heart.

Hopping from one problem to another Sachin develops comic situations to drive to funny tracks one after another. Along with his miseries and love story, corrupt system that runs on bribery is also unveiled in the movie.
